Im Justin. I moved to Japan in 2002 and Im married to my Japanese wife (lovingly called "Spellchecker"). Ive taken the JLPT tests up to L1 (yes, I was there) using this app. I speak, read and write Japanese fluently and Im an overactive developer who really should relax a little more.

Pros and cons of Japanese JLPT N5 (Vocabulary & Kanji Flashcards) app for iPhone and iPad

Japanese JLPT N5 (Vocabulary & Kanji Flashcards) app good for

Easy to use and very efficient to learn ! Unfortunately impossible to update.
Perfect app for mastering Japanese Kanjis and vocabulary. Hope you make the same for the other japanese vocabulary levels.
Nice interface, easy to handle, useful amount of free vocabulary. One of the best learning tools so far. Wish list: Japanese pronunciation
Love this app. Easy, intuitive, powerful, convenient for everyday learning in the subway. I would appreciate a learning mode from English / furigana to kanji by drawing the kanji. By drawing the kanji, you get a much better feeling for it. learned hiragana this way in 3 says. Can you add a function for purchase?
Great app. All the right options, easy and intuitive interface. The amount of information available (for a FREE app) is impressive. Im definitely going buy the full version for level N4 and higher when I finish the vocabulary in this one. Thank you VERY MUCH for a Sticky Study!
Could you add voice clips to the words so I know how to say them? Thank you~

Some bad moments

Unfortunately the GUI is in Japanese. What sense does this make???? I tried to change with my Japanese teacher, but not possible. Therefore I cant use it.
...the user interface is all in Japanese... I dont get it. I want to use the app to learn Japanese. If I knew already, I wouldnt need this app. Couldnt figure out how to switch to another language...
Please fix the study mode crash in full version. Why u removed it from itunes store? Are you gonna update and maintain that program?
What is this...stuff?! All this app is is random words and phrases stacked on top of each other. The descriptions of those words or phrases dont help me at all!! How can you call this a "Japanese Learning App"? It is absolutely idiotic. I dont recommend this AT ALL. Get it if you want, but I didnt understand it.
This app is extremely helpful with learning vocabulary and kanji. Tempted to buy the full version.
Love the free app. Very useful. my vocab has improved dramatically.
